4 civilizations we have talked about: China, Egypt, India, and the Hebrews.
Similarities between the 4 civilizations: All except the Hebrews had a polytheistic background.
Differences between the 4 civilizations: Each civilization had a different key features that made them stick out from the other civilizations such as China: developed silk textiles and advanced pottery techniques, and the Indus Valley (India) had underground plumbing and an agriculture based economy.
Basic characteristics of the civilizations and how they are demonstrated by the four civilizations: In India, they had a grid like city with main roads being 30 meters long, and they had two levels for defense on their “buildings”. China was based by the Haung He which would have periodic floods, and their civilizations were ruled by dynasties or lines of the hereditary rule. The Hebrews brought monotheism which brought a lot of persecutions for their people. Lastly, Egypt was large but had many small cities around it and brought on many Gods and a Pharaoh, or a supreme ruler of the city, which was their king/ God of their time period.
